Remembering Sgt Ian Jones

West Mercia Police Federation is today paying tribute to Sergeant Ian Jones.

Ian (53) collapsed and died from heart failure while on duty at West Mercia Police Headquarters in Worcester on 2 March 2011.

Sarah Cooper, Federation branch chair, said: “To lose any officer in service is always hugely impactive across the Force and our thoughts are very much with Ian’s family, friends and colleagues today. I know that Ian will be remembered fondly by all that knew him and it is incredibly important that we continue to remember our fallen colleagues.”
