Remembering PC Ashley Burchell

West Mercia Police Federation chair Sarah Cooper has remembered an officer who died in service while training his police dog.

PC Ashley Burchell was 38 when he collapsed and died on 11 May 1985.

Sarah said: “On the anniversary of his death, we remember Ashley and his dedication and service to the people and communities of West Mercia.

“My thoughts and those of everyone at West Mercia Police Federation are with Ashley’s family, friends and colleagues.”
