West Mercia Police Federation

Watch the Federation conference

14 June 2021

Keynote speeches, panel discussions and round table sessions from last week’s Police Federation annual conference are all now available to watch online through a special video on-demand service.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s surprise virtual appearance at the conference is among the highlights alongside keynote speeches by Home Secretary Priti Patel and Federation chair John Apter.

Hard-hitting discussions on the use of force, policing  protests, misogyny and diversity are also available to view online along with a wellbeing session which included inputs from West Mercia Police Federation secretary Steve Butler and officers Richard Hughes and Charlotte Davies.

Sessions under this year’s Policing under Pressure conference theme highlighted the growing challenges facing frontline officers as the country emerges from the coronavirus pandemic.

And West Mercia Police Federation chair Sarah Cooper urged members who were unable to attend the live events to use the catch-up facility to view them online.

She said: “Conference covered the key issues faced by our members today. I would urge them to catch up with the speeches and debates if at all possible, as I am sure there is something there for everyone.”
