An officer killed in a road traffic accident while taking part in an advanced motorcycle training course has been remembered by West Mercia Police Federation on the anniversary of his death.
PC John Bonelle was 34 when he died in an accident in Merthyr Tydfil on 6 May 1998.
Federation branch chair Sarah Cooper said: “As we reach this anniversary, we remember the life and service of PC John Bonelle.
“It’s important we recognise the contribution John made to the Force and to the people of West Mercia, but behind every police badge is a person with loved ones.
“Today will be a poignant day for everyone who knew John, and our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues in the policing family.”
