The latest edition of West Mercia Police Federation’s magazine is out now with news and pictures from the recent Police Bravery Awards ceremony.

The winter issue of Connected also features chair Sarah Cooper’s reflections on what has been a challenging year for the branch plus updates plus profiles on some of the new workplace reps and a Q & A session with Chief Constable Pippa Mills.

There are poignant tributes to West Mercia officers Stephen Harris and Colin Freeman who both died in 2021 and reports on the 200-mile Police Unity Tour (PUT) bike ride which raised funds for the Care of Police Survivors (COPS) charity.

The magazine also features the remarkable story of a West Mercia Police Federation member who is preparing for a fundraising mission to Gambia where he will help deliver a full ambulance service to the local community.
