A free guide has been created this World Health Day to help Federation members improve their mental and physical health.
Produced by Police Mutual, the guide covers a whole range of techniques to help officers take better care of themselves, including a better diet and getting more sleep.
The guide coincides with World Health Day, an annual awareness raising campaign which falls every year on 7 April.
The chair of West Mercia Police Federation, Sarah Cooper, welcomes the guide.
“After such a challenging year, it’s really important for officers to take time to look after their physical and mental health,” she said, “With life being so busy, taking care of our wellbeing can understandably get forgotten but guides like this highlight how even the smallest changes can have a big difference on how we are feeling.”
World Health Day also falls in Stress Awareness Month, so the guide looks at how stress can affect wellbeing.
“I want all members to know that they can speak to the Federation if they ever need our support,” Sarah added.
