West Mercia Police Federation's nominee for this year's Police Bravery Awards - now retired dog handler PC Mike Davey - and his wife, Jo, are featured on the front page of the latest edition of Connect, our members' magazine.
You can read about their visit to 10 Downing Street for a pre-awards reception and also find out more about the incident which led to his nomination.
The magazine features the story of an officer subjected to long-drawn-out conduct proceedings, bringing home the devastating impact these cases can have on our members and their families.
You can also find out about how West Mercia Police Federation secretary Steve Butler joined other officers from across our region and nationwide to take part in the annual Police Unity Tour, a sponsored cycle ride to raise money for the critical work carried out by the charity Care of Police Survivors (COPS).
If you have a story to share for the next edition, please get in touch with Federation chair Sarah Cooper.
