Subs during unpaid leave

Maternity Leave

While you are on Statutory Maternity Leave, all subscription payments will continue to be deducted from your wages.

If you move onto unpaid leave, your subscriptions will no longer be taken via payroll.

• Federation subscriptions are not required during unpaid leave. However, they must resume as soon as you return to work.
• Group Insurance Scheme - You can remain a member of the Group Insurance Scheme for up to 12 months while on maternity leave. If you do not return to work after 12 months, your cover will cease. 

Career Breaks

All subscriptions will cease when you begin your career break.
