Retired officer scheme

The policy documents for the West Mercia Police Group Insurance Scheme, valid from 1st September 2026, can be downloaded using the links below:

You can register or log in to the Philip Williams Portal to access all your policy documents.

To be entitled to the benefits, you must be a contributing member of the scheme via your pension.

Please inform the Federation Office when you know your retirement date so that your membership to the retired scheme can be organised.

Please note:

The benefits for retired members differ from those for serving officers. Full details can be found on page 4 of the Scheme Benefits booklet linked above.
If you cancel your retired membership, you will not be able to re-join the scheme at a later date.
You also cannot add a Partner to the policy after retirement.
