Summer Leave Restrictions – How did it impact you?

Surrey Police Federation is assessing the impact of the 2026 summer leave restriction, which limited officers to a maximum of 10 days' leave between 1 July and 6 September 2026.
We welcome your input, as your responses will help us understand the impact of the restriction, as well as wider experiences during the summer period, including issues such as fatigue, wellbeing, and operational demand. The findings will help us explain these impacts to the Force and inform its consideration of future changes to Leave Policy.
You will have seen an email from Your Federation with a link to the survey. Thank you to the several hundred of you who have already completed this. We are really keen to get this to over 2000 responses so don’t forget to tell your colleagues, check your email and complete the survey which will take about 6 minutes to complete.
