Remembering officer who died in RTA

Suffolk Police Federation chair Darren Harris has paid tribute to a Suffolk PC who died on this day 24 years ago.

PC Peter Evans died in a road accident on the A12 at Great Saxham on 24 February 2001 while travelling as a passenger in an armed response vehicle. He was 33.

“It is important for us as a Federation to remember those colleagues who sadly lost their lives while carrying out their duties,” says Darren, “Our fallen colleagues are never forgotten and, while we remember Peter today, we also keep all his loved ones in our thoughts too.”
