Federation members can open a savings account with security and peace of mind this month thanks to Serve and Protect Credit Union.

 

Serve and Protect’s Fixed Saver account is on offer throughout December and promises a guaranteed interest return of four per cent annual equivalent rate (AER) over the following 12 months.

 

All deposits – which can be anything between £1000 and £10,000 – will be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), giving you even more certainty over your money.

 

Opening an account also means you are helping other public sector workers with every pound you save, through Serve and Protect’s ongoing mission to provide tailored financial solutions to the likes of police, fire, military and health services.

 

The deadline to apply for a Fixed Saver is Monday 29 December, with interest to begin accruing from 1 January 2026.
