Suffolk Police Federation

A Christmas message from Suffolk Police Federation

19 December 2025

From branch chair Darren Harris, secretary Ben Hudson and the Suffolk Police Federation team...

As we approach the end of the year, Christmas gives us a chance to pause and reflect on what has been another demanding period for policing across Suffolk.

It has been a year that reminded us of both the strength within our Federation and the challenges that continue to face our members.

For many, this festive season will feel especially difficult. The loss felt within our policing family this year remains profound, and our thoughts are very much with those who are grieving, particularly at a time that is meant to be spent with loved ones. Please know that you are not alone, and that the Federation is here to support you.

Resilience

Despite the challenges, we continue to be inspired by the resilience, professionalism and dedication shown by officers and staff across the county. Day in, day out, you put the needs of others first, often at personal cost, and that commitment does not go unnoticed.

Christmas can be a busy and demanding time in policing, and it’s more important than ever to look after your wellbeing and to support one another. If you’re struggling, please reach out - whether to a colleague or the Federation team. There is strength in asking for help.

As we look ahead to the New Year, the Federation remains committed to standing up for our members. We will represent your interests and ensure your voices are heard. Together, we will continue to face challenges, push for positive change, and support one another as one policing family.

On behalf of Suffolk Police Federation, we wish you and your families a peaceful Christmas and a safe, healthy start to 2026.

Take care, stay safe, and look after yourselves and each other.
