The spring edition of Fed News, the magazine of Suffolk Police Federation is out now.
Branch chair Darren Harris calls for elected representatives to support policing in the wake of the Police and Crime Commissioner elections last week and an upcoming General Election.
His call comes as we report on the latest Pay and Morale Survey, which revealed that 93 per cent of respondents in Suffolk Police feel morale in the Force is ‘low’ or ‘very low’.
Staying with morale, we highlight the impact the cancellation of rest days to cover football matches is having on officers.
And there’s a reminder to officers from branch secretary Ben Hudson to keep their Duty Management System up to date to avoid court warnings disrupting their annual leave.
There’s also praise for Ben from MPs in the House of Commons for his work on the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) #SimplifyDG6 campaign.
The branch welcomes the introduction of the new Elizabeth Emblem to officially recognise the sacrifice of fallen officers.
Meet the Suffolk Police Federation member and his police dog who are representing the Force at the National Police Dog Trials – just months after they were assigned together.
Plus, find out about the free addiction support that’s available to Suffolk Police Federation members.
It’s all in the latest edition of Fed News, which is available to download now.
