Suffolk PC Cheryl Lloyd died on this day 19 years ago.
Cheryl, who was 42, was travelling to an urgent call in Ipswich on 18 June 2005 when the patrol car she was driving was in collision with a lorry.
“Today our thoughts are with Cheryl’s family, friends and former colleagues who continue to feel her loss,” says Ben Hudson, secretary of Suffolk Police Federation.
“It is incredibly important that we remember our fallen colleagues, their dedication to the Force and their commitment to serving the people of Suffolk.”
Cheryl’s memory lives on through the Force’s Cheryl Lloyd Award for excellence in staff training and development.
