40th anniversary of loss of PC

Today marks the 40^th anniversary of the loss of Suffolk PC Neville Stackwood.

Neville, 27,  was on patrol when he was found dead alongside his crashed motorcycle on 9 May 1984. He was 27.

Suffolk Police Federation chair Darren Harris said: “Today marks 40 years since Neville’s tragic death and our thoughts still remain with his family, friends and former colleagues who will continue to feel his loss and particularly so on this anniversary.

“It is incredibly important that we remember our fallen colleagues and the service they gave to the Force and the communities we serve.”
