From budget planning and saving regularly to managing unexpected costs and achieving savings goals, a new guide puts the focus on financial resilience.
It has been produced by No 1 Copperpot, the credit union offering saving accounts, loans and mortgages to the policing family.
“The findings of the Federation’s pay and morale survey were published just a few weeks ago and revealed that around 40 per cent of Suffolk officers were worried about the state of their personal finances almost on a daily basis,” says Darren Harris, chair of Suffolk Police Federation.
“I can only see that percentage rising in the months to come with everyone being hit by hikes to their home energy bills, increased fuel costs, a rise in National Insurance contributions and prices of many household items also soaring.
“It could be worth seeing what help Copperpot can offer.”
