Remembering Sergeant John Masterson

Suffolk Police Federation secretary Ben Hudson has paid tribute to Sergeant John Masterson on the 30th anniversary of his death.

John (46) collapsed and died on motorcycle escort duty during a royal visit on 26 June 1992.

Ben said: “John was a dedicated and committed officer and we’re thankful for his service to the people of Suffolk and the Force.

“My thoughts and the thoughts of everyone at Suffolk Police Federation are with John’s family, friends and colleagues today.”
