The chair of Suffolk Police Federation has paid tribute to an officer who was killed in a car accident on the anniversary of her death.
PC Cheryl Lloyd (42) died on 18 June 2005 when the patrol car she was driving was in collision with a lorry while she was attending an urgent call in Ipswich.
Cheryl’s memory lives on through the Cheryl Lloyd Award for excellence in staff training and development.
Branch chair Darren Harris said: “We’ll never forget Cheryl’s bravery, dedication, and commitment to policing and to the communities she served.
“The thoughts of everyone at Suffolk Police Federation are with Cheryl’s family, friends and colleagues on what will be a difficult and poignant day.”
