The chair of Suffolk Police Federation has paid tribute to DC Clive Barratt on the anniversary of his death.
DC Barratt was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident while on surveillance duty on 28 July 1999. He was 35.
Darren Harris said: “Every day officers put themselves at risk to serve and protect the public and all too often pay the ultimate price.
“Clive was hugely respected and his death was a great loss to the Force. It’s vital that we keep the memory of Clive and our fallen colleagues alive – their service to policing and to the public must never be forgotten.
“The thoughts of everyone at Suffolk Police Federation are with Clive’s family, friends and colleagues today.”
