Suffolk Police Federation’s October ezine is out now giving members a chance to catch up on all the latest news and information.
This edition showcases the work of the Suffolk police officers whose courage was recognised at the Police Bravery Awards 2020 ceremony in London.
PCs Pete French and Jordan Tuck rescued three terrified children from a house in which a “crazed” gunman had wreaked havoc and was threatening to kill them.
Pete tells the newsletter all about his “humbling and special” day at a reception at 10 Downing Street and then the evening awards ceremony.
PC Pete Clarke, who has been nominated for the 2021 Police Bravery Awards, also features in the latest edition.
Branch chair Darren Harris shares his views on the summer pay row and secretary Ben Hudson welcomes the news that Special Constables will be able to join the Federation under the new Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill.
There are also features on several Suffolk Police Federation workplace representatives and the poignant National Police Memorial Day service which took place at Lincoln Cathedral last month.
