An online event showcasing the incredible work carried out by Police Federation workplace representatives is being held next week.
Members who sign up to attend the third and final Election Café to learn more about the role ahead of the Federation’s elections, which start in July, can claim a free gift.
The Election Café event is part of the ongoing Reps@Work campaign which highlights the vital work reps do.
Suffolk Police Federation branch chair Darren Harris said: “We would encourage any member interested in becoming a Federation rep or just finding out more about the role to sign up for this event which will have an informal feel about it.
“It is open to all members and we would particularly urge members from under-represented groups to register, attend and find out more. The Federation is committed to being fully representative of the membership, in the same way that forces are seeking to reflect the communities they serve.
“Being a workplace rep can be challenging but it is also incredibly rewarding when you know that you have supported a colleague through a difficult period in their career.”
The Election Café will be open from 6pm until 7.30pm on Tuesday 1 June.
