GP Care on Demand APP

Dear All,

 

Members of the Group Insurance Scheme (GIS) have access to the GP on Demand service via an APP.

 

Users of this APP please see below update from the service provider Teladoc. 

 

Teladoc are making some updates to their apps and wanted to inform you that from Tuesday 3rd June dependent upon your members phone’s settings, existing users may be prompted to update the Care On Demand app. Please note for new registrations, the new users will download the updated app as per the existing process and be able to register using their current access code.

 

Please see some useful FAQs from Teladoc below:

 

Q. Will I need to re-register?

A. If you have previously registered you will need to complete the registration process which includes completing some new features, we have set up such as 2 factor authentication. You can use the same email address as previously registered with. We will endeavour to match your existing profile which will allow you to view your previous consultation history.

 

Q. Will I still be able to see all my case history, I have upcoming appointments?

A. This is dependent on the registration input and being able to match your email address and DOB to the previous details you entered, then we will match your details, and you will be able to see case history and any previous consultations/upcoming consultations.

 

Q. What happens if I register and it doesn’t match to previous registration, what happens to upcoming booked consultations and programme of treatment?

A. You can continue to manage your remaining sessions with the clinical team and these will be honoured. You will not be able to request any new sessions under the old registration. We do not expect any disruptions as a result of this update. Nevertheless, our customer service team is ready to support users with any questions or issues that may arise.
