Branch Chairs automatically become part of the National Council, which elects the National Board and holds it to account for how it runs and leads the organisation - find out more about the structure of the organisation.
Andy said "I'm extremely proud to continue the start I've made in the Chairs position since January 2017. I have passion and fire in my belly to fight, represent, negotiate and influence on behalf of all my hardworking colleagues that continue to protect the community in Norfolk. They are working under extreme pressures and I will be your strong voice inside and outside of the force".
Andy continued "I will continue to raise issues to local and national MP's on issues such as assaults on officers, response/pursuit driving and pay. Within the force I will continue to raise issues with the Chief himself and his Chief officer team which impact upon my colleagues such as Taser, detective and response issues".
With the local elections almost completed we await some of the local federations elections in which they have a contested election for the Chairs position. These results will be announced on 31st May 2018. Once these local elections have been completed we move onto the elections for national positions on the national board which include the national Chair and Secretary posts.
