Leicestershire Police Federation chair Tiff Lynch has held discussions with a number of members of the House of Lords to seek support for the assaults bill currently making its way through Parliament.

Tiff, who is also secretary of the Police Federation of England and Wales’ Parliamentary Working Group, has also thanked Leicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner Lord Willy Bach for enabling her and a number of Federation officials from across the country to meet a number of lords during her visit to London last week.

Tiff said: “We are thankful for their time in meeting with us and discussing the amendments to the bill that we feel are necessary for our members to feel that they are valued by the public and the Government.”
