A number of webinars will take place next week to mark International Women’s Day, and members are invited to join.
The Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) will be hosting an online session on Friday 6 March, titled ‘Give to Gain - How Supporting Others Accelerates Your Own Success’.
The virtual webinar will feature guest speaker Inspector Sophie King, recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to Women in Policing Award 2025 from Sussex Police. Sophie will share her personal experiences of coaching and mentorship, highlighting how supporting others can also unlock your own leadership potential and career growth.
The session is ideal for anyone looking to strengthen their leadership skills, build confidence, enhance teamwork, or feel more empowered in their role. Attendees will gain practical insights and inspiration to support both their own development and that of their colleagues.
The webinar will run for one hour, from 11am until midday.
Members can register online by clicking this link.
In addition, six online sessions will be held across Tuesday 3 March and Thursday 5 March - each focusing on an important topic around women’s physical, mental and emotional health.
Self-care, healthy eating, anxiety and imposter syndrome, sleep, menopause, and mental health and stress management are all set to be covered in the expert-led webinars. These will provide attendees with practical tools and a deeper understanding of wellbeing challenges specific to women.
Federation members are welcome to sign up for as many of the six sessions, which are each due to run for 45 minutes, as they like by registering their attendance here.
International Women’s Day itself will be officially celebrated on Sunday 8 March, recognising the achievements and contributions of women around the world.
