Dyfed Powys Police Federation

Registration still open for National Police Memorial Day

22 September 2025

Dyfed Powys Police Federation members are reminded there is still time to register for this year’s National Police Memorial Day (NPMD).

This year’s service takes place at Coventry Cathedral on Sunday 28 September.

It provides an opportunity to remember and honour the lives of more than 5,000 police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice over the past 180 years.

The service also provides a chance for the policing family to come together to show their support for loved ones of those who have died on duty.

And members can share their memories and messages on the NPMD Tribute Wall, which is now live.

Dyfed Powys Police Federation chair Delme Rees is encouraging members to show their support for families of the fallen.

He said: The National Police Memorial Day is one of the most important events in the policing year.

“It’s a deeply moving and poignant occasion that allowed us time to stand together, remember, and reflect.”

Reflect

Delme said: “I would encourage members to attend at least one in their career.

“If you can’t make this year’s service, then please use the day as a chance to reflect and think about those who have died and their families.

“And please consider leaving a message on the tribute wall. It provides a lasting and meaningful way to pay respects."

More information, including how to register for the service, or to leave a message on the Tribute Wall, are available on the National Police Memorial Day website.
