Dyfed Powys Police Federation is encouraging members to join the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) annual conference online.
The two-day event will bring together senior leaders, policing experts and key stakeholders to explore some of the most pressing issues affecting members and the wider service.
The conference takes place on 18 and 19 November and will feature panel discussions, presentations and live Q&As.
Dyfed Powys Police Federation chair Delme Rees said: “The PFEW annual conference is an opportunity for members to hear directly from key people in the Federation and those shaping policing at a national level.
“Members will be able to engage with debates on pay and conditions, wellbeing, and many of the other challenges facing police officers.
“I’d encourage members to join the live broadcasts if they can or watch again on catch-up.”
Hosted by broadcaster Ian Collins, day one kicks off at 1pm on 18 November with a welcome from national chair Tiff Lynch.
The agenda will include discussions on pay and conditions, supporting officers’ families, and a keynote speech and Q&A with PFEW chief executive Mukund Krishna.
The day will also include presentations for the Outstanding Contribution to Women in Policing Award, and the Detective of the Year.
Day two on 19 November starts at 9.20am and includes a keynote speech from Tiff.
There will be a panel discussion on policing’s suicide crisis, an update on the #SimplifyDG6 campaign, and a panel Q&A.
Awards for Investigation of the Year and Response Officer of the Year will be presented as well.
The conference, which is supported by Slater and Gordon, is in-person and open only to elected delegates, who have been formally chosen to represent their branches.
The event will be live-streamed via the PFEW YouTube channel and reps and members will be able to watch live or on catch up.
