Dyfed Powys Police Federation will hold a series of meetings with local MPs to highlight the challenges facing members.
With Parliament back from its summer recess, chair Delme Rees and secretary Ceris Davies are increasing engagement with MPs across the Force area.
They want to ensure that members’ voices are heard in Westminster.
Topics on the agenda are set to include pay and conditions, the national PFEW Copped Enough campaign, and the branch’s call for the Force to review how the so-called half hour for the King is applied.
Other issues could include recruitment and retention, and PFEW’s industrial rights campaign to give police officers greater representation and more rights in pay negotiations.
Delme said: “We’ll be highlighting all of the issues around police pay, including how much it has fallen in the past decade and its impact on morale, and on recruitment and retention.
“We’ll be stressing that pay needs to reflect the risks of the job, the restrictions officers face on their private lives, and the constantly changing shift patterns they work.
“We’ll also be highlighting our members’ concerns over workloads, the increasing threats of violence they are facing, and their health and wellbeing.”
The first meeting is set to take place this week with David Chadwick, the Liberal Democrat MP for Brecon, Radnor, and Cwm Tawe.
It is set to be followed by a meeting next week with Plaid Cymru MP for Caerfyrddin, Ann Davies.

Further discussions will take place next month with Henry Tufnell, the Labour MP for Mid and South Pembrokeshire, and with Ben Lake, the Plaid Cymru MP for Ceredigion Preseli.
And it is hoped that dates can be arranged to meet with Steve Witherden, the Labour MP for Montgomeryshire and Glyndŵr, and with Dame Nia Griffith, the Labour MP for Llanelli.
Delme said: “We thank our MPs for taking the time to speak to us, to listen to us, and to engage with our members.
“We see these meetings as an important step in strengthening relationships.
“This is the first chance we will have had to speak with our MPs since the summer
“It’s important we ensure that the realities of frontline policing are understood and that our members are properly represented in Parliament.”
