Dyfed Powys Police Federation

Winter magazine out now

11 December 2024

With the Federation elections on the horizon, the new chair of the Dyfed Powys branch is encouraging members to consider putting themselves forward as workplace reps.

Delme Rees, who became chair this summer after five years as deputy, says he wants greater representation from across the Force and from under-represented groups.

His comments come in the latest edition of Chwarae Teg/Fair Play, the magazine of the Dyfed Powys Police Federation.

The magazine includes a comprehensive guide to the Federation election process, how members can put themselves forward to be a workplace rep, and how to vote for their preferred candidates.

Branch secretary Roger Webb, who has retired after 26 years with the Force, looks back on his career and his achievements with the Federation.

We meet Sergeant Gary Cole, who ran a half marathon in police kit in memory of Inspector Gareth Earp, raising more than £1,600 in the process.

Federation member Sergeant Paul Roberts shines a light on rural policing and implementing the Force’s rural and wildlife crime strategy across the 4,188 miles and 12,000 farms under its jurisdiction.

And there’s a review of the branch’s 2024.
