Dyfed Powys Police Federation

Addiction support at your fingertips

8 February 2024

Dyfed Powys Police Federation members can now benefit from a free 24/7 addiction support service.

A partnership with the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW), Help4Addiction and Rehubs, it is expected to be invaluable to many.

Members who might be experiencing or feel like somebody they know is experiencing addiction, are being urged to get in touch by calling Help4Addiction or downloading Rehubs.

Chair of Dyfed Powys Police Federation Gareth Jones said: “Police officers are human beings with challenges to bear just like anyone else. Sadly, some are living with addiction without the ability or means to seek help.

“This support service is non-judgmental, confidential and could provide a lifeline for our members.”

As well as being able to download the Rehubs app for free, members can call the Help4Addiction helpline, which provides officers with a safe space to talk and addiction support when they need it most.

Help4Addiction and Rehubs were launched by former cop Nick Conn.

Gareth continued: “It’s important that members know they have somewhere to turn to and reassurance that they can access professional help to deal with whatever it is they are going through. Their welfare is our priority.”

Both Rehubs and Help4Addiction offer support for any type of addiction, whether it’s alcohol, drugs, gambling or porn - if a person has started an unhealthy relationship with something, there could be an issue.

Help4Addiction and Rehubs were launched by former cop Nick Conn, having experienced addiction himself when he was training in the Metropolitan Police at 19.

More than 20 years later, having successfully beaten addition, Nick went on to develop Help4Addiction, an organisation dedicated to providing others with essential support and guidance.

If you or somebody is suffering from addiction and needs support, call Help4Addiction on: 0330 058 8227 or download Rehubs for FREE today.
