Dyfed Powys Police Federation has paid tribute to DC Paul Hetherington on the anniversary of his death.
Paul was injured in a collision with a service lorry while on surveillance training on 18 October 1990 and died in hospital 11 days later. He was 35.
Three colleagues - DCs Leonid Evans, Nicholas Tabraham and Roger Meyrick – who were all killed instantly in the accident. Paul succumbed to his injuries 11 days later on 29 October.
Branch secretary Roger Webb said: “This was a dreadful incident which led to the tragic loss of four men dedicated to serving their communities and the impact it had on the Force was wide-reaching.
“Our thoughts today are with Paul’s family, friends and former colleagues and also with those of Leonid, Nicholas and Roger.”
