Dyfed Powys Police Federation

Annual Conference: Busy agenda gets underway today

10 October 2023

Some of the biggest issues facing police officers will be debated on day one of the Police Federation of England and Wales’s (PFEW) conference.

The conference kicks off today and there’s a packed programme of discussions on the topics that matter to members.

There’s still chance for Dyfed Powys Police Federation members to register to be part of the conference.

It’s hosted by broadcaster Ian Collins and brings together decision makers, key policing stakeholders, and experts.

Today’s day one agenda includes discussions on leadership in policing, Home Office review impact on independent panels, and disclosure and redaction, as well as retirement, misogyny, and Mutual Aid.

Tomorrow’s day two agenda will explore industrial rights, and wellbeing, and there will be a keynote address from PFEW chair Steve Hartshorn and a Q&A panel session.

Outstanding contributions to policing will be recognised through the presentation of awards for excellence in roads policing, detectives, and women in policing.

Members who are unable to be part of the conference can follow it and join in the discussions on social media using the hashtag #PFEW23
