Cleveland Police Federation are delighted to announce the following changes to the Group Insurance Scheme.
Following a competitive tender process, we are pleased to inform you that the group Insurance Trustees have appointed Philip Williams & Co. Insurance Management as our preferred broker. This change will take effect on 1st April 2024 and will be reflected in all subsequent pay cycles. Philip Williams have been managing Police Group Insurance Schemes for over 40 years and are very experienced in the police group insurance market.
Not only does the new scheme offer a predominantly equal or greater level of cover than provided previously, but this will see a reduced cost for both serving officer and serving officer (inc. partner) schemes.
Cleveland Police Federation Chair, Paul Crowley said: “In a world where the cost of living is increasing almost daily, it is refreshing to be able to bring our members a better product at a reduced cost. I know that a huge percentage of our officers are silently struggling after years of pay freezes and ever-increasing costs, so hopefully today’s announcement will go some way to demonstrate that we recognise those struggles and will do everything we can to help.”
Please note there have been significant changes to cover with new contact details and processes for claims. Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the new benefits booklet which contains terms and conditions and details on how to claim, these are available to collect from the Federation Office. All subscribing members will need to register directly on the Philip Williams website (www.philipwilliams.co.uk).
