Cleveland Police Federation Chair enjoys productive meeting with Stockton North MP

Speaking up the concerns and worries of Cleveland Police officers, our Chair Paul Crowley met up with Chris McDonald, MP for Stockton North last week.

“The meeting went well,” said Paul. “We discussed the recent disorder and the impact this had on policing, through the prism of both morale and the impact on the wider community.

“We discussed - and agreed - that Cleveland is aligned to metropolitan areas and should see funding commensurate to that demand.

“We also discussed general morale and the effectiveness of the Police Remuneration Review Body in the wake of the pay award.

“We each committed to work closely with one another to ensure a direct conduit of communication between the Federation, stakeholders and Home Office, to ensure Cleveland officers voices are heard and echoed appropriately.

“He also highlighted his appreciation and support for all officers affected by the recent disorder and wishes those injured a speedy recovery.”
