City of London Police officers and their families braved the weather for our #VE80 themed Force Fun Day at the weekend.
It was a wonderful day, when the force says thank you to its people for their tireless work for the communities of the City of London.
City of London Police Federation Chair Mike Reed said: “Policing often takes us away from our own families on special occasions or events, so today was also about giving back to the extended Police family who miss their mums, dads, aunts, uncles and carers because of work with an event all could share!”
The event had wartime-era music from The Spinettes, a collection of military vehicles, First Aid Nursing Yeomanry and representatives from Armed Forces network.
Guests got to grips with a code-breaker game and there was face painting and a balloon artist. City of London Police Cadets were also on hand to make sure the day ran smoothly.
We would also like to thank for their invaluable support: City of London Bishopsgate Crime Prevention Association; City of London Police; City of London Police Authority Board; City of London Police Charity for Children; and CIS Security Limited.
