*30-June-2025 Announcement: George Burrows rebrands to Gallagher*
Your Group Insurance Scheme is currently provided by George Burrows, a specialist in police sector insurance since 1958. From June 2025, George Burrows will rebrand as Gallagher. No action is required — your benefits remain unchanged, and your usual contacts are still here to support you. The City of London Police Federation Group Insurance scheme offers comprehensive protection for you and your family at competitive rates. Please note: All policy documents will be updated to reflect the Gallagher brand however there will be a brief transition period before this change is fully implemented.
*NB: As of 19-Sep-25 the the underwriter for the Mobile Phone & Gadget insurance has changed from BSpoke to Allianz (AWP). There are no changes to the cover/T&Cs other than the below enhancements:
- The previous policy had a 90 day limit for trips abroad/travelling – there is no limit under the new policy
- The new policy covers refurbished devices from any UK VAT registered retailer supplied with a 12-month warranty (previously the policy only covered refurbished devices from the manufacturer or network provider).
