The Police Federation of England & Wales can confirm that an internal governance process has been initiated in relation to National Chair Steve Hartshorn. Whilst the matter is looked into, Steve Hartshorn is unable to undertake his PFEW role and responsibilities as National Chair pending conclusion of the process. This is an internal governance matter and not criminal in nature. We stress that these are allegations only at this stage.
