The West Midlands Police Benevolent Fund Charity helps serving and retired officers, police staff and their families suffering from hardship or distress. For 50 years, the fund has supported thousands of people through difficult times and has handed out more than £1 million in grants and loans.

How much does membership cost?

£2 per month is all it takes to pay into the Benevolent Fund. The small monthly subscription is deducted straight from your salary and can provide you, your family, and your colleagues with vital support when it’s needed most.

Full members (serving officers or police staff employees)

Subscribers to the fund.

Subscribers to the fund can apply for these benefits:

  • Interest-free loans
  • Grants
  • Small gifts (sickness vouchers)
  • Convalescence
  • Death grants of £3,500 to nominated person
  • £25 per week to children of deceased officer or police staff employee up to 16 years of age or 18 if in full-time education
  • Discounted holidays at the fund’s holiday properties
  • Exclusive rewards scheme offering a range of discounts
  • A free will-writing service through Accord Legal Services.

Retired members can receive the same benefits except for the death in service grant and orphan payments.
