Withdrawal of misconduct proceedings

At any time before the beginning of the misconduct proceedings, the appropriate authority may direct that the case is withdrawn and accordingly:

1. Take no further action against the officer concerned.
2. Refer the matter to the reflective practice review process, or
3. Refer the matter to be dealt with under the Performance Regulations.

The appropriate authority must provide the officer concerned with a written notice of the direction and a copy of the investigator’s report or such parts that relate to the officer.
