The Conduct and Performance Committee
West Midlands Police Federation’s Conduct and Performance Committee assists Federated members, irrespective of rank, in relation to criminal and misconduct investigations, disciplinary hearings, performance issues and, increasingly, vetting procedures and appeals which arise from. These specially trained full-time officials and workplace representatives also offer members support with appeals against restrictions (Risk Management Measures) which have been put in place in consequence of the Force’s ‘Service Confidence Policy’.
The committee meets four times per year and reports directly to the Branch Board. Members of the committee frequently liaise with various stakeholders and have sought to foster strong and productive working relationships with our colleagues in the Professional Standards Department and the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
They are constantly advocating on behalf of members for processes which are lawful, timely, fair and transparent.
