Members can now vote for the officers they want to represent them within West Midlands Police Federation.
There are a number of current vacancies for workplace representatives. Members were able to put themselves forward for the positions with the nomination period having closed on Wednesday.
Matt Manwaring, deputy secretary of the West Midlands Police Federation branch, said: “We were pleased to find a good deal of interest from members interested in becoming workplace reps. It can be a challenging role, but it is also incredibly rewarding.
“With the nominations now in, I would urge all members to find out more about those who are standing in the election and cast their votes. The more members who vote, the more democratic this process will be.
“Members should receive an email with information on how to vote, but if you do not receive this please contact me.”
Voting opened at 12 noon today (25 September) and will close at 4pm on Friday 9 October.
All reps elected will receive full training for their role which is voluntary and carried out alongside their Force duties.
