Tie sales will help Benevolent Fund

The selection of ties available to order.

Officers who have worked on Force OSU can now buy a new tie commissioned specifically for them and at the same time boost the funds of the West Midlands Police Benevolent Fund.

The ties were ordered through retired Force chief inspector Dennis Dixon who has already worked with former colleagues to organise two reunions one for retired C Division officers and police staff and one for Force-wide serving and former personnel. All proceeds of the reunions were donated to the Ben Fund.

Dennis was at the time asked to source Birmingham City Police ties and later some for the Force, with the Chief Constable giving permission for the Force crest to be featured. Ties were available for £13 and scarves for £17.

More recently, he was approached by a newly retired officer who had served on the OSU and asked if Dennis could get ties for the unit manufactured to a design he provided.

These ties are now available to buy and will be also be priced at £13 each, plus £3 post and packing, with all the money raised going to the Ben Fund again.
