West Midlands Police Federation exists to represent the interests of the constables, sergeants, inspectors and chief inspectors who serve our communities.

It publishes news items on this website and social media channels to keep members informed and up to date with local and national news on issues that affect them at work.

In recent months, these posts have regularly attracted vitriolic comments from people outside of the organisation which were directed at our members and unconnected to the articles themselves.

As such, we have reluctantly taken the decision to turn off commenting on all posts for the foreseeable future.

We do, however, want to remain accessible and responsive to our membership so any member with a concern, or a comment to make on any of the stories posted is encouraged to contact their local workplace representative, the full-time officials or the office staff.
