Pension changes: answering your questions

Police Friendly/Metfriendly will be running one of its regular “Know Your Numbers” webinars on Tuesday (30 June).
It will run from 10am to 11.30am and should help those with questions on the recent Government police pension changes and how it affects officer lump sums.
There will also be sections on using the pensions calculator and understanding a pension statement.
It will cover important financial information to prepare officers for approaching retirement and any financial considerations, such as opting out, lump sum commutations and tax implications.
The webinar will feature a presentation produced by Paul Turpin, senior pension adviser to the Police Federation of England and Wales, and include time for a Q & A from participants as well as an explanation and update on the most recent pensions announcement.
Spouses/partners are welcome to attend. Please book a further place with their name under the officer warrant number.
