Federation roadshow reaches West Bromwich

Officers on Response

At Sandwell LPA are (left to right) Mat Minton, Jess Davies and A Unit PCs Dalton Adams and Ashleigh O'Donnell.

Members were able to ask questions of the branch’s full-time officials at last week’s Federation roadshow at West Bromwich Police Station.

Chair Jess Davies and deputy chair Mat Minton spoke to officers within the Sandwell LPA offering advice on issues included Police Regulations, meal and travel claims, flexi-working and annual leave.

“Through the roadshow programme, we are able to get out and see members face to face and help them with any issues they may have at work while explaining the support the Federation can offer,” says Jess.

“The roadshows are also attended by representatives of some of our member service partners who talk about the ways in which they can offer support and products tailored for the police family.

“We are really pleased at the reaction we have had to the roadshows and hope to continue these into 2026 – just keep an eye on our website and social media to find out our future dates.”

The Federation was supported by a number of member service partners at the roadshow with representatives from Bluline, the Ben Fund and Serve and Protect explaining how they can help members.

After the roadshow which ran from 10am until 2pm on Wednesday (14 January), Jess and Mat joined officers on Response to see first-hand the issues they are facing.

The next roadshow are as follows:

26 March – Coventry LPA – Willenhall Police Station.

22 April – Walsall LPA – Bloxwich Police Station.
