Detective is remembered

West Midlands DC Michael Swindells died on this day 22 years ago.
Michael, who was 44, died from a stab wound while pursuing a suspect on a Tame Valley Canal towpath on 21 May 2044.
He was posthumously awarded the Queen’s Gallantry Medal.
