Could you help develop a new online leadership course?

Sergeants and inspectors are being asked to consider joining an expert review panel to help develop a new Blackstone’s Police Leadership online learning resource in return for a small honorarium or books worth up to £450.

The project is made up of 13 leadership modules, including content for both first-line and mid-line leaders.

“We are looking for experienced and newly promoted sergeants and inspectors to provide feedback and help ensure the content is relevant, practical, and reflective of the realities of modern policing,” says Fiona Briden, who is leading on the project for Oxford University Press (OUP).

“We are particularly interested in hearing from officers who are passionate about leadership development and willing to provide constructive feedback based on their professional experience.”

Reviewers will be invited to contribute at two stages:

Stage 1: Review of module outlines

• Late September to early October 2026
• Up to four module outlines
• Approximately two hours’ commitment
• Honorarium: £75 or £150 worth of OUP books.

Stage 2: Review of draft modules

• April to May 2027
• Approximately one hour per module reviewed
• Honorarium: £150 or £300 worth of OUP books.
