People are being asked to consider donating cakes that could be sold to help boost the fundraising at a community fun day being held this Sunday.
The fun day, organised by the West Midlands Association of Muslim Police (AMP), is being held at Tally Ho from 11am until 6pm on Sunday (26 July).
Proceeds of the event will be split between the AMP’s two chosen charities – Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Islamic Help.
“We are extending an invitation to all West Midlands Police Federation members to pop down to the fun day. It promises to be an action-packed day with a football and cricket tournament, face painting, a bouncy castle and stands featuring the firearms, drones, traffic and mounted units, as well as a wide choice of food plus ice creams, of course,” says Ed Barnes, the AMP chair.
“We are hoping people will donate cakes and sweet treats with the proceeds all going to the two charities we are supporting this year.”
