Remembering young PC

Twenty-one-year-old West Midlands PC Andrew Le Comte died on this day 41 years ago.

Andrew died in a fall from the roof of the Grandfare Store in High Street, Erdington while searching for suspects while on duty on 4 February 1984.

The Andrew Le Comte Memorial Cup for Inspirational Leadership is presented each year to a West Midlands Police officer who has inspired others with a passion for policing, allowing others to achieve and reach their potential while offering outstanding leadership skills.
